The theme of river restoration will be among those on display during the 3rd annual ‘Hooked on Art’ event in Bonner on Feburary 9. The day celebrates the legacy of Bonner artist Walter Hook as well as those of many talented local artists. Original Walter Hook paintings on loan from private collectors and a Judith Parkins fabric art piece Reclamation, inspired by the Clark Fork River cleanup and restoration, will be displayed in the Bonner School Library Saturday Feb. 9 from 10AM – 4 PM. Monte Dolack joins the festivities and his Gallery Talk in the Library 1:30 – 2:30 PM focuses on his art work including Witness to Change, a piece honoring the Milltown Dam and the restoration of the Clark Fork River.
Throughout the school the Community Art Market features an array of quality art pieces by local and area artists. It’s a rare opportunity to see and purchase sculptures, paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, metal art, and much more at a unique community event.
Bonner School will conduct art workshops for kids and adults and there will be special entertainment throughout the day. Hooked on Art is free and open to the public. Sponsored by Friends of Two Rivers and Bonner School. For more, visit the FoTR website
