Volunteers are encouraged to come to the Milltown pedestrian bridge to help maintain a native plant restoration effort on Tuesday evening, July 7 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. In early May, a couple dozen volunteers planted more than 160 trees, shrubs and plants around the west side of the Black Bridge.  Check out these photos from May's planting.

Volunteers will water plants, pull weeds, and spread compost. They should bring drinking water, work shoes and gloves, and, if available, shovels, weeding tools, and wheelbarrow or garden cart. And workers will be rewarded with ice cream.

To get there, come out on Hwy 200 from Missoula or I-90 and take Exit 109. Turn onto 1st Street across from Town Pump main entrance, west side of Blackfoot. The turn to bridge is first right.)
