A public meeting to discuss the Superfund cleanup of the Trestle area in Deer Lodge will be held Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. in the Deer Lodge Community Center. The meeting is sponsored by the Montana Dept. of Environmental Quality, the agency leading the Superfund cleanup of the upper Clark Fork River. The $123 million cleanup and restoration effort will begin in the town of Deer Lodge at the Trestles area (pictured above) because of greater human health concerns. See the DEQ press release
