The new advisory council for the Upper Clark Fork River Basin Remediation and Restoration Education Advisory Council will receive a crash course on the Natural Resource Damage Program
at a meeting in Deer Lodge September 9. At the meeting, NRDP staff will provide an orientation on natural resource damage litigation and restoration in the upper Clark Fork. Staff will weave in introductory information about the 2009 grant proposals that will be the focus of the Advisory Council's work in the next few months. The second part of the meeting will cover background on Advisory Council roles, goals, and procedures. Members will decide on voting procedures and regular meeting dates, plus set dates for the applicant presentations on the 2009 grants and desired field visits to potential sites.
